THE WORKSHOP TOPIC: SOMEONE EXCEPTIONAL. A STORY ABOUT A FAMILY MEMBER

During the workshop the participants will use different graphic techniques in order to tell a story of the most exceptional family member. Artist's books will be created in three techniques: linocut / stamp, monotype and paper-cut. All works will be created in A4 format in a vertical position and form a single book. Workshops are open to everyone, however the maximum number of participants is 15 people.

April 27, 2019, 11.00 – 14.00: Linocut / Stamp

During the first workshop participants will learn what a linocut, matrix and graphic print are, and then design the work and use a chisel to cut their own matrix on the linocut pieces. The art works will be reflected in different colours and on different paper structures, creating many interpretations of the same project. The linocut workshop is designed for young adults and adults due to the use of sharp tools. The version for children is to discover the graphic technique of a stamp that will be made of construction foams and pieces of styrolite. The materials used are: graphic paint in various colours, a printing roller, selection of papers with different structures, brushes, drawing board, chisels, lino, styrolite, construction foam and scissors.
