PORTAFORTUNA

This time we will see a performance of a young quartet PORTAFORTUNA, which consists of students of the The Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań:

  • Beata Prus – I violin
  • Julia Nikoliszak – II violin
  • Marianna Kalicka – viola
  • Karolina Pająk – cello


The band formed a year ago. Since some time they have included a "lighter genre" in their repertoire and that's what we will hear during the second Sunday's meeting. We will hear, among the other, one of the most famous tangos "Por una cabeza" by Carlos Gardel.

Part I of the concert will be completed by the VIII String Quartet in C minor, Op. 110 Dmitri Shostakovich.
